Here was an interesting exchange:
Dude A: "I know what you're holding"
He then proceeds to call the guys hand correctly
Dude A: "I call"
Flips his cards over and he's drawing to 2 outs...
River comes and he hits his out
Dude B: "How can you call that when you knew what I had?"
Dude A: "Cause I knew I would beat you anyway"
True story, thank God I wasn't Dude B (no I wasn't Dude a either). |
good one. here's another: in the game i play on wed. nights, if a card is exposed on the deal, it can be a misdeal, unless the player wants to keep it.
so,

is exposed as it's being dealt to me, everyone sees it, and i keep it.
the flop comes Q high, i bet and i get one caller (no draws on board). that's kind of scary, right?
i bet the turn (a brick) and he calls.
we check down the river.
he had K high, and was hoping to hit the K. as if i'd pay him off

. jeez, you'd figure he'd at least bluff at me.
it happened again later, when i received a K face-up. i kept it and got a Q to go with it. this time, no action on my PF raise.
