I've been hosting games every other week for about a year now. I average around 7, with the most being 10 so far.
My list has definitely expanded, and more people are becoming regulars. The way things have been going, it could get up to 12-16 regulars per week by the end of the year. That's if I want 2 tables every other week, or if I decide to keep that to a once a year WSOP format of events (3 planned for this summer).
yeah my group is always growing.... friends bring friends of friends from outta town... cousins... younger brothers... you name it.... theyll show up uninvited
We have a weekly Thursday night game that is alway 9-11 people from a mailing list of 20-25. We run a league for the tournament games and we have had 30 different players play since the beginning of the year. I also play with a group that plays once a month and that is around 15-20. The biggest home game I have played in was 40 people.
I keep a mailing list for people interested in playing in my home game. So far the list has grown to 14 invitees. I have removed 3 names for people who have moved. From that list of invitees, we're consistently getting 5-6 players and tonight's action looks like we're going to be at 7-8. The core group (the ones who always come) is 5. My group has only been having games for about 6 months and everyone on the list is from my office. If I were to open it up to others I know who play I could have 12+ every time. The coworker group is still learning the game and we play small stakes but I also play with another group that prefers $1/$2 NL and $100 buyin NL tournies. The goal is to move the coworker crowd up in limit as they get some experience. At least we've done away with the horrid dealer's choice crap.

Yeah, we started a tournament leaderboard at the beginning of the year, and the list now has 26 people on it.
It's getting so busy that we're going to need a 3rd table soon. I'm torn between actually spending the time to build one, or just buying one.

god.... i wish i could get my home game to play $100 buy in tourneys and 1-2 NL... until then... im stuck with crappy .25-.50 blinds... and $15 tourneys...
