I am a poor college student right now and don't have the money to buy all the things I want. Plus I supply all the poker gear when my friends and I play and I am the only one that really loves playing so it would be dumb of me to spend a thousand dollars on poker gear when we keep playing with $10 buy-ins. It would take me forever to win back all the money I put into getting the gear.

I said 100 to 500 heres my breakdown

1st set (dice &crown) $70 with the case (just sold it for $40 to guy at work)
2nd set (las vegas denominations) 1200 pieces paid $120 for it
Set of Kem cards (2 decks) $20
3rd set (PJCC all clays) 1000 pieces $120
card protector $5

Numerous decks of cards from Wal-Mart around $50

I also bought an eight player table top $30
Just recently got a ten player table top $60

Some of the costs listed have been shared by the other person whose basement we also use.

I put down 100 - 500 for now but I think I'll end up in the 1000 - 2000 sometimes next year.

Far too much - though I have sold some as well. I am going to continue to delude myself and not tally it up. Though it is definitely in the 2 to 3K range - just afraid it might be a little more than that.

I can not wait to be able to afford my own custom set! I need to win more tournements!

Scott, I think you'll be very pleased with the Nevada Jack Skulls!!! I still miss those chips.
