I give up....have you? kidding aside....probably seen many like it. I decided to go very standard on everything. Colors, fabric,cupholders....The wood is birch with just a lacquer based varnish on it. Im thinking of going black velvet playing surface on my next one.

I recommend against black... or regular red. I am refelting both of my tables because the red is way to bright and burns your eyes out and the black shows every little piece of dust that lands on it. Its also a little too subdued. I am going with good ol fashion green.

Justin

$375 - 650 Crystal Parks
$ 80 - mahogany finished case
$ 40 - Kems
$200 - homemade table that I left at our last house
$115 - walmart WPT table and suplies used to customize it
$300 - books
$ 50 - chiars

I voted for $1000+, just to save you the math. I also did another calculation. There has been 68 votes so far, and just by taking an average at each price level(and included ace & mrmeaners $$), I figured between us, thus far, we've spent over $140,0000 on poker crap.

I voted for under $100, but I was just thinking chips... between books, tabletops, and my new table, I'm into the $100-500 group.

I am a poker newbie, I just started playing last December after seeing the WPT on TV when I should have been studying for final exams.

I promptly bought a set of 500 ebay specials (metal inserts and all) and some plastic cards and had a ball. A month or two into my poker addiction I bought Super System and Harrington on Holdem 1 (also pre-ordered hsi second book) to learn what TV could not teach me. After just a couple months I became unhappy with the clinking of these chips and recently ordered a set of 1000 ASM's, as well as some more cards.

So thanks to television I am now hooked, and thanks to this site I am becoming a real chip snob and it is almost painful to play with those 11.5g composites.

Re: Poll how much have you spent?

I am in the 100-500 catagory. Only spent about $200 on 500 Nevada Jack Cermaics.

But if I had the money, I would easily be right up there in the $5000 range. So many things I would love to have. Someday they will be mine!!
