Post some pics fo the antiques and jetons in the "History" section, I'd love to see them.

cpu

I just bought a laptop so I can use a tourney clock. I justified it by saying I need it for work, but now all of you know the truth. I have a disease!

Now I have to change my vote (just went up a bracket.)

I'd be under $500 if I hadn't bought the crappy diamond chips and then sold them at a loss when the poker boom happened... but table, chairs, chips, cards all come to right under $500 if you don't count the set I hated and sold. Yes, I have made that back from the equipment in the meantime.

I just recently got serious about my poker (i.e., viewing it as a "job" at which to earn "wages" instead of just entertainment and an excuse to drink), so here's the rundown since that point:

-- $160 for a set of 700 Nexgens (custom labels to come)
-- $45 on fabric and foam for a quickie table
-- $15 on a double-pack of Copags

The first night I hosted tourney play, I placed 2nd and 1st to gross about $120, so more than half of my start-up costs are already covered!

I'm going cheap. $200 for chips. $150 for chairs. My table cost me $200 in materials. Posters were another couple hundred. Already had the pool table, gym and dart board. Not a bad room for under a grand. You can check it out in my gallery.
