One quick question, are you going to have a dedicated dealer, or is it going to be rotating dealer?
I've had a few of the cheaper poker tables, and currently use a chinese import oval table with race track. I modified it a bit to level the felted area, as well as changed the felt to a suited speed cloth. The race track has cupholders installed.
My tastes have changed over the years. I first wanted tables to have drink holders. Then I wanted the race track. My next table with not have either! I do like having a betting line, so either I will have to have that printed onto the cloth, or I'll have to do a 'faux race track' look, with just differing colours of speed cloth. I want the table to have a solid rail, but to be able to use those slide in cup holders. Not everyone wants to have their drink at the table, so slide in cup holders work great for that.
Also, if you're planning on playing games a couple of times per WEEK! (AWESOME!) I'd really suggest looking into some nice chairs. I'm currently using just wooden fold up padded chairs, but I only play at my house once a month, if even that lately. If you're going to be sitting for long periods of time, get something that's going to be nice and comfy.
TV's are nice, but they definitely slow the game down. A nice sound system is sometimes better, just for background noise, and it causes less of a distraction. A TV farther away, with a game system attached to it is a nice idea if you do lots of tourney games, so that the early bust outs can have something to do.
I really like the drink trays that were shown in this thread! I have some of the same tables, and I'm definitely going to copy that look.
And finally, are you right in TO? I'm hoping to be out that way in the spring
