Buddy4Bass turned 50 this past week, and has had on-going celebrations all week. Birthday parties at work, Birthday Bash at home on Friday night, Birthday Poker Tournament on Saturday night and Nascar Races today.
I am bummed, however - as I was the very first one out of the tournament last night.....within the first ten minutes or so of the game. ($50 buy-in) Here are the
bare basics of my screw-up. Found myself with pocket queens after several crappy hands. I bet, fellow player raises, I call. Flop gives me another queen for a set. Fellow player bets $500, I raise, he re-raises. I call. Turn comes, he bets, I raise, he goes all-in, I call. ......fellow player has an ace high club flush! Bye bye Nana!
Moral of this short story........never ever have three margarita's before sitting down to play poker. Otherwise, I
may have noticed those 4 clubs on the board! Stupid, stupid, stupid!
Don't know any of the details yet as to who won the tournament, as I hung out for awhile and then came on home. Ryan, Buddy and Greg.......hope you all fared better! I will leave it up to one of you to fill in details of the winner, and/or any other major happenings. Buddy......who got the $50 bounty for knocking you out?
