Executive Poker Dinner 2009

I just returned from my trip to Canada and would like to share my experience with the fellow Cters. For those who missed my post last year, I host an annual game with my long life friends and poker buddies. The reunion starts off with a semi-formal dinner and ends with a medium-stake poker game. You can find last years photos here,

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/home-game-general/57470-executive-dinner-poker-night.html

THE DINNER:

Main Course: Fillet Mignon with Lobster Tail
Appetizer 1: Steamed Salmon with lemon sauce
Appetizer 2: Steamed Mussels with wine sauce
Appetizer 3: Asparagus

- Flop comes KsQcJc
- Checks around to Tai who leads out with $8
- Roger bumps it up to $33
- Everyone folds to Tai who contemplates for 4 minutes and bumps it up to $100
- Roger seams shocked and moves all – in
- Tai knows he got caught with his pants down but decides to call the remaining $80
- Roger flips over AT for a straight and Tai flips over K6 for top pair
- Tai begins counting out his chips to double up Roger
- Turn and river comes out KQ giving Tai a full house and the victory

Damn y'all do it right. We're usually left to our own devices (read: scotch and sometimes pizza). Nice to see one of my absolute favorite CTer sets in play as well. Those are gorgeous chips.

Hey man! if you are ever in Windsor Ontario around June of every year, give me a shout. I've been trying to find new faces to join the crew, especially at Chip Talk.

My friends are great. This is considered small stakes to them so they don't mind taking a beating here and there. Kha is one who is amune to these bad beats. If memory serves me right, his previous five AAs have all been cracked with NO slow play.

Wait til you see my new revised editions. Nonetheless they had great compliments at the game. Roger is probably the one guy I enjoy giving a beating to. He makes the most money, is the most decipline, and most careful with his money. Those are the guys I like to crack!

Amazing chip set. I think they are the best customs on this site hands down.
Great pics of all the food and poker action.
Thank you for sharing.
