Re: A Sad Day

Godspeed Gordo. I don't think he would have wanted it any other way. Kind of like a horse player dying between the 1st and 2nd races and being alive in the double.

Re: A Sad Day

RIP Gordo. Sorry for your (and the rest of the motley gang's) loss.

Did I read right that he died at the Thursday night game? While playing with you guys?

Sorry to hear the news. Now that he is in a better place he will get a chance to sit at a game with OC.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

You are correct Ten, during our game he went outside for a smoke break and collapsed. One of our guys tried CPR until the ambulance arrived, which was obviously in vain.

Home poker will live forever. Where else can you go to make a few bucks, but find a family instead?

Re: A Sad Day

Condolences go out. I hope your home game still continues to go in spite of the loss, your friend probably would want it that way.

You should do the CT thing and honor your friend with a new custom set. If I recall correctly Boondocker's CU Next Tuesday chips had a loss story behind them (don't have a link to his thread though). You would always remember him sometime during the game if the custom set was made in his honor.

Dan

Re: A Sad Day

My deepest condolences go out to you. It's never easy to lose a friend. Sounds like he died a happy man and that's about all any of us can as for.

RIP
