there are some limit games that have betting even higher on the river, 2/4/6 for example, but by your example it seems like there's 3 sets of blinds in a no limit game, meaning there's most likely a 2nd big blind or auto live straddle.
so you have button, SB, BB, 2nd BB. button never posts a blind unless you're using the "moving button" rule.
instead of that kind of structure, in NLHE you could go with a live straddle but not auto straddle or whatever you call the structure you listed. UTG can post a raise before the cards are dealt and it's live like a blind. restraddles are fun too. gets more money in the pot pre-flop.
in LHE you could go with a kill or half-kill, where if someone wins 2 pots in a row the limits go up until someone else wins a pot. i play 3/6 limit at home games sometimes with a half-kill. when someone wins 2 back-to-back, they have to post 5 (and it's live) no matter their position, and blinds stay 1/3 but when action comes around to "kill guy" he has an option and the rest have to call the 5 if there's no raise, so basically it's a 5/10 game (full kill would be 6/12)
having a KILL button would be a good idea - when the kill is on, that player will have the kill button in front of them until they lose a hand.
