Re: bounty situation 08: help

I'd award the chip to imthatguy because he won the biggest portion (half) of the main pot, vs cdnmoose and FSU88, who were quartered.

Or if you're feeling really perverse, you could borrow two pair of pliers from nutN2Lewz (Home Poker Tourney), break the chip in half and then break one of the halves in half, and award the pieces accordingly.

Re: bounty situation 08: help

Low hand can never 'win' the pot outright however. Low hand can only chop.

Re: bounty situation 08: help

If you think of the Bounty as part of the pot. Should be split between the 2 HI hand winners.

Re: bounty situation 08: help

I asked this question last December. Don't have time to search for the thread, but the bounty goes to the person with the largest stack.

But in this case, imthatguy not only had the low for 1/2 the pot, but also had a high hand strong enough to beat jojo (but not strong enough to scoop)...

Tough one. I'd say "split the bounty the way the pot was split"... but I have no justification for why I say that, and I'm probably biased.
*EDIT* I was thinking of a monetary bounty; if it's a chip, please don't break it. Instead, increase the bounty to 4 chips and give Matty 2 of 'em.

By the way, I've heard of "the first player to call the all-in gets the bounty", but in this case, jojo was the BB and called all-in after the rest of the action... so that doesn't even work. Might it go to the pre-flop raiser (i.e. the first person to make the bet big enough that jojo would be all-in)?
