50-100 for me, we play .25/.50. I've never spent more than $40 though.

It depends on what I'm going over to play. If its strictly a cash game I take two of the max buy ins. If max is 40, I take 80, 50, I take 100.

If I'm going to a tourney I obviously take enough for the tourney and a rebuy (if their offered). If I think a cash game will break out I also take enough for 1.5 buy ins to the cash game (re load, not rebuy).

I always set a strict limit on how much I will spend.

it's a good habit to carry plenty of cash at all times so that if you get robbed they don't kill you. Then you can at least tell the bum "I just handed you a freakin G note, you better not kill me icehole! "
