We had one go missing, but it was a T25 chips and we had dropped a nearly-full rack of these chips on the floor. The chips showed up a few weeks later.
I would be more worried about having extra chips show up. Not likely with the relatively unusual chips most of us use, but a real possibility if dice chips are being used.

BAck when I had my pharaohs, I lost one at a game at someone else's place...I knew which person took it...I knocked him out of the tourney..then stragely in an empty room a chip went missing. I orderd a replacement...then somehow that guy found it in his coat pocket two weeks later. He did return it, but was a sore loser. I read him very well, I had a small suited connector on the BB, he raised a standard raise, I called. I knew he had an ace, when the flop came all small hitting me, I knew I was in the lead and bet, he went all in and I insta-called and knocked him out when he failed to connect. He was so upset I called his all in with just a small pair...I knew he was the thief that night...read that too.

Chips: 14,330 | | | Re: Anyone ever lose chips after home game ? Back in the dice chip days (we all had them, right?) I did have an extra green and two reds show up after a cash game. There were lots of people at the game that night that I hadn't played with before. If I remember right, it took about half the nights profits to cover the $35.
Since customs, though, no problems.

Chips: 422 | | | Re: Anyone ever lose chips after home game ? We play tournaments, with cash side games for those who have busted out of the tournament. I once had a few of my $.25 Egyptians go missing. I knew that a few were missing because at that time I had exactly 200 (enough to fill two racks). I've also had my KEMs marked with a nail, whether intentionally or not (J ) I don't know. We have a core group of regulars who would never do something like that. On occassion we've had friends of regulars. I don't know. It happened a long time ago, but it makes me wary. I don't pull out the TR Kings unless I know that it's just the regulars. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
