Chips: 9,309 | | | Anti Slow Rolling I have a buddy in my home game who routinely slow rolls LOOSING hands in big pots. He's laggy, so it's not uncommon for him to be on the bad end of a big pot and he will often show his hand very slowly without giving a clue whether or not it's a winner. The regulars all recognise him doing it, but it's funny to watch the new guy who thinks he's being slow rolled, but really won the pot.
No particular reason to post this, just thought is was pretty funny this past weekend.

L | The next time I blow a big pot I'm going to slow roll the loosing hand. Shouldn't take too long.
Does he do it when he wins too?

Kinda like walking in someone's line on the green when you're golfing. Not really against the rules, just really REALLY annoying.
27 words.

you don't see a problem with that? i'd count the ways it sucks, but want to stay under 100 words.
edit (doesn't count in towards my 100): 99 words. holy smokes! |

Chips: 1,895 | | | Re: Anti Slow Rolling I played at a new game last night, and I didn't slow roll but took a long time to call an all in with the nuts. I had two players still behind me and wanted them to think I was really thinking about it and just didn't have the nuts. After the other two folded and I declared I had the nuts, the guy who originally went all in seemed kind of mad that I took so long. It wasn't a real long time, maybe 30 - 45 seconds. I apologized and told him I wasn't trying to slow play him just get a couple more calls and then he was allright with it. What do you guys think? I felt kind of like a jerk after I wiped him out and was raking in the pot. Especially since I didn't know some of the guys and they were pretty inexperienced. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
