My fancy Poker Garage, lol. it's a start for the home games to come. Eventually i may have games in the house.

Set up:
1000 Nexgen Bee's
600 Cardinals
1 2-Fold Table (199@ StraitPokersupplies.ca)
1 old kitchen table
Cards- Bee's, Vega's, Royals, Modianos (for special occasions)
lamps and lights set up in the ceiling.

Thumbs up Re: My first poker room set up, Poker Garage.

Not a bad start. I would advise clearing out the other junk in the room so you can dedicate all of the space for poker and then putting down some carpet or large rugs. Maybe seal and give the brick a couple coats of white paint and hang some pictures on the walls to warm up the feel a little.

Re: My first poker room set up, Poker Garage.

I do have some of that white paint to seal all the walls. There really isn't much in the way of junk in there. the stuff on the back shelf is all made up of chips, water, game related stuff, citronella if ya need it. The sawhorses and plywood panel are for putting up when pizza or something is ordered. Cooler for drinks. i cleared a bunch of stuff out of there a few weeks back to have all this space lol u should see the other side lots of stuff stuck in there now. I'm not going to do too many upgrades though, bought a condo and will be moving in Febuary so the Poker Garage will close in Sept-Oct sometime and will become a 20th Floor games room. Main reason i bought the 2fold table is the ability to store it under a bed or storage locker when i move. Oh i have a box fan in there too u just can't see it behind the table for any hot days.

Re: My first poker room set up, Poker Garage.

Love it!!!!! Very rounders-like (no offense intended, I like to play in dark, mysterious places). The beauty of your set-up is you can enjoy it. If somebody spills a full beer or drops food on the floor - no big deal. You don't have to worry about some drunk knocking anything over and breaking it or turning a mixed drink over on your table. Or dropping your little wooden custom chip holder box on the floor or anything.

And you can leave your room set-up, ready for play while many other players have to spend 45 minutes getting out the equipment when the wife gives them the nod that it is ok.

This is the epitomy of the home game. Go forth and play!

Re: My first poker room set up, Poker Garage.

i have some box fans that get pulled out if nessesary. Its certainly a durable location lol. u can get alot of use out of a $200 table (actually a really good stable solid table, way better than i expected. theres a few designs of cheap tables and this is the best i've ever used) so far only has spills on the wooden table used for side cash games or tourney overflow. and crumbs or stuff that gets on the felt is easily cleared up with the vacuum. Lighting is decent i have a couple of flourecent lights up, 1 is a grow light that always leads to some jokes about what went on in the garage before, truth being the light was there when i moved in lol really.

biggest problem for me is parking, only room for 4 cars in the drive and 1 in the other garage. so occasionally i have to tear everything down which takes all of 5 mins to fold up the table and stack it up agains't the wall, fold the chairs up on the shelf and push the wood table to the end of the garage to fit another car in there.

used for 4 game nights so far, hoping to fit a few more in before the weather goes south and i move into my new condo where the poker room will actually be inside with a carpeted floor, but only room for 1 table
