Safe Deposit Boxes **FINISHED !

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/home-g...ox-locker.html

I started this project this weekend..needed a break so I took some pics...

There's a picture of the cabinet doors...this will be 4 boxes wide, by 3 high.

Each will have individual locks on it. I'll keep posting as I get further along..but this is where I am so far...

6/1 update..

6/14 update...

hope to finish by this weekend..it's hard to see, but the top left one in completely finished...I lined the bottom with 1/8" cork, instead of bare wood, or felt....(3rd pic down)

6/16: Finished and in the poker room...
ALL DONE !

Nice work! I cannot wait to see the final result....oh and do you think it would be possible for you to post some plans? I might end up copying your idea some day!!

Good Luck with the rest of the project!!

I like the idea. Won't work for everyone but pretty cool.

That will be sweet looking when you're done! Are you planning on staining it or leaving it as is?

On another note, I was a PSK brother Epsilon Deuteron chapter!

Re: Safe Deposit Boxes for home game

The plans, as with most of my projects, have already become obsolete, but I can certainly re-write somethign as a post-production design....

I'm using Oak, and I'm gonna give it one coat of stain, and 1 or 2 poly-coats...just enough to make it 'furniture' as opposed to dtrictly functional!

I was Sigma Delta (St. Norbert College, chapter now defunct)

Rob,

to what extent is this entire project just a thinly disguised attempt to provide yourself with a way of masking the number of chips that you have bought?

Looks good.

Well, Ironically (of course), if these get used, I will have to keep the cash and tournament chips totally separated...the new $20 chips are due today (pics tomorrow) so that means I'm OK up to $20 (1,2,5,10,20) however, this change in play WILL NECESSITATE me buying some new $100 chips with a unique spot pattern that will be dedicated to the cash game...

It's tough, but It's a sacrifice I'll have to make....

Time to fix the timestamp on your camera... I think you're well on your way to a good looking project. Anytime you can mix Poker and Woodworking (two of my favorite things to do) it's a good thing.
