Faux Tournament interest?

WHEN: Tournament to be held Nevurary 1st.
WHAT: A "5 card no peekie" NL Poker Tournament.
WHERE: THE BELLAGIO north. That is actually my house. Featuring the following:
- Tables made with faux suade playing surfaces and padded pleather rails.
- An original downtown Seattle's street artist Mona Lisa will be on display (topless).
- The beer on tap is Keystone Lite but will be served in Alaskan Amber glasses.
DOOR PRIZES: jOakley sunglasses for the men (for a more "authentic" feel), and Couch (very similar to Coach but a fraction of the price) handbags for the ladies.
1st PLACE AWARD: The winner of the game would be awarded an authentic "Rolex" encrusted with with real diamonds that I picked up in Tijuana for 5 bucks.

FEATURING OUR MAIN ATTRACTION: We will be playing with mint WSOP Chips from the Riu! Cash game will be offered as people bust out and will be played with mint Dunes (replica) Chips!

Lol. Isn't this getting just a tad ridicilous?

Starting to feel like I'm in a sandbox adventure.

Re: Faux Tournament interest?

Yeah, but on different grounds, I'd wager.

Why not wake up and smell the coffee? There are those who're purists and dislike anything that even remotely resembles a casino chip, then there're those that like the thought of being able to have a set that looks like their favorite casino's chips without getting a second mortgage. The latter will ignore the irate ramblings of the former, so why waste the energy? Channel it into sending me a few REAL, ACTUAL casino chips instead, whydontcha?

PM me your address.... I will hook you up. However beware, chip collecting is quite as addictive as chip set collecting. You may just move to the "Dark Side".

Lol, didn't think you'd actually do it.
I'm already a chip collector. Just not very fanatical about it. I fall in between the cracks, half way between set- and singles collecting.
I just think there's a very real difference between the real deals and the knock offs being made by ABC, Matt, PI and so on.
