Chips: 10 | | | How do you play against someone...... who has ATC Syndrome? I mean, this guy we play with all the time, will play any two cards. IF the blinds are $5- $10 and I raise with K 10 s and he has 4 2os and I raise to $500, he will call without thinking about it. Then the flop comes with a 10 4 2! How the hell do you play with someone who will call with anything? That actually happened last night like 6-10 times. He called with absolutely nothing and hit at least 2 pr every time. And do not say "well that is poker" I am so sick of freakin' hearing that.
I know it is pretty much the luck of the draw, but damn, you can't be that lucky all the time. I just need some advice on what do with someone like this. I am so frustrated. I know I don't play that bad, but I also can't be that unlucky!
Just give me some ideas on what I can do to combat this. Thanks. |

Don't play a crappy hand like KT against a calling station luck box. What's that with a 50xBB raise with that kind of hand? You really can't beat him, if he flops a big hand every time, but that can't continue forever, and you can limit your losses in the mean time by playing better yourself. Limp suited connectors and small pairs, or raise just normally 3-4 times the big blind to drop other players, and try to hit the flop hard cheaply. Don't bluff against him. |

Best strategy is to play the opposite style of your opponent. If he's lose, play tight. |

i recommend value-betting any hand of value.
i'll just disregard the "omg he's so lucky" comments. i assume he's helped along by people trying to bluff him off pots. |

Chips: 14,330 | | | Re: How do you play against someone...... Well, what does he do when he misses the flop? If he will call anything preflop then I'd get him in with hands that he's way behind on. Get those high pocket pairs and put him in. AK? All-in. Over and over and over and over. If he draws out 6 in a row, so what. Get him in there again and again. You will eventually take his entire bankroll.
You can also freeroll him in position and turn the tables. If you can get in cheap in late position with crap, then go for it. If you flop it strong and he bets, take his whole stack.
No need to be subtle. Just attack him relentlessly.

Courage is more important than the nuts here. Just believe in yourself when he tests you.
