Re: For all you North of the Border.

The sound of the coins is slightly better than dice chips but the stacking is attrocious. I would rather use my chips.

Re: For all you North of the Border.

I read this and thought, what the hell is he talking about. I figured it was some sorta wild card game. It was not until the Canadians responded that the lightbulb went off..

And for those not in the know, a "loon" or "looney" is a $1 coin in Canada, so named because it displays the picture of a great northern diver/common loon (a bird which somewhat resembles a duck)... The looney replaced the $1 bill in the late eighties. A "two-ney" or "toonie" is a $2 coin introduced in the mid-nineties... I have used both for ball markers in golf, though they are a little large for the task...

Loonie

Toonie

All the time. Actually PM Harper is considering making the loonie and Toonie 11.5g to make it "official casino weight". Once we take all the tracking devices out of them they'll weigh that much anyway.

Re: For all you North of the Border.

yeah i guess it wouldnt be too cool to stack aye? hehehe. well just a thought.

for some strange reason when i went to go visit i would use bills to pay for everything and just keep the change in my pocket. at the end of the trip i had over $150 in loose change cause of all the loonies and toonies left over. she was asking why i had so much of it...cause i would pay with bills and get all these damn coins back. do you guys have little coin purses for all this damn change?

Re: For all you North of the Border.

All you have to do is spend the change at Tim Horton's. My change rarely lasts the rest of the day.
