Chips: 110 | | | Re: Bounty, and show em' chips I tried to introduce the show em chips into my home game but people really didn't like them. I think the idea of having to show your cards after making a big play or a bluff turned people off.
I have played in some games where a bounty was used and people seemed to like that. I need to get some of the bounty chips though. Will probably be dumping my Show Em chips as I just don't use them. |

Show 'Em never really caught on for me either, and I sold those chips at cost. I still have 25+ of Dwight's Bounty Chips... They get action, either as a money bounty, or as a means to track knockouts.

Chips: 127 | | | Re: Bounty, and show em' chips We use them all the time, in a league setting
we charge $2 for the show'em, and 1$ for the rabbit hunting, both are optional and you are limited to one of each.
we do a $25 tournament w/includes the $5 bounty.
the extra money generated goes into the prize pool, and everyone seems ok with all the chips we use. we've done 2 10 week leagues so far, and are getting ready for the 3rd, starting after the Super Bowl.
whenever we do a separate tourney, or for the TOC, show'ems are not used

Chips: 199 | | | Re: Bounty, and show em' chips Thanks for the info. I have some comeing, mostly for completion of a set and to frame as well. I'll give them a shot, sounds like it may be fun if people like it. |

Chips: 530 | | | Re: Bounty, and show em' chips I'm currently using my Chipco 2004 WSOP Replicas as bounty chips in my tournaments (until I pick up some actual bounty chips), and my friends love the idea. I asked them about introducing rabbit hunting chips and show'em chips, but they did not like that one as much.
Edit: to clarify, I added $3 per entry and added it into a seperate bounty pool, then everytime you knocked someone out you got their chip. Then at the end of the tourney, you traded in your chips for money. I also had it so that if you had multiple chips and you got knocked out, they only got one chip from you.

Chips: 2,017 | | | Re: Bounty, and show em' chips I use both specialty chips and the group loves it.
For the bounty, we give the bounty chip to the last tourney's winner and everyone but the bounty pays $ for the bounty purse. If last tourney's winner doesn't show up, then the bounty is the 2nd place winner from last time and so on. Knock the bounty out, and you win the purse.
For the show 'em chip, I've limited it's use so we don't go crazy with it. A show 'em chip will go into the pot on the first hand of a tournament or cash game. The winner of the 1st hand will get the show 'em chip. The player who shows their cards gets to keep the show 'em chip to use again. There is only one show 'em chip available thoughout the tourney or cash game. |
