Well, we used the my new chips last night, the infamous "warped" new Paulsons. Everyone loved them and we play with chip snobs. Matthew's house, I brought the new chips to try. I busted out second in the tourney...oh well, took $20 in the .25/.50 cash game to just over $150...
Anyways, the chips did not "wobble" enough for anyone to notice...they actually behave just like the Starbursts we play with. People liked the mold, the concentric circles, the weight and feel. Have no fear buying these chips folks, they are a great set.

On a side note, after getting drawn out on a ton last week, I found myself quite gunshy this week... I don't like acting like that, I had pocket kings one hand and pumped it to $5 preflop, and got 3 or 4 callers... I won the hand, but was gunshy when someone called my all-in with a lower pair. I was dominating, but man it was nice for the percentages to work out for once. Last week seemed I was drawn out on quite a bit, but I was getting my money in good. This week, the poker gods seemed to smile upon me again. One hand in PLO, I get dealt AQxx in dealer position, everyone pretty much limps in as there's not a lot of PF action in our omaha games. Flop comes AQQ, first guy bets $3, a caller, a raise to $10, a caller, then to me. What can you think in that position? I have second nuts, but with everyone positioning to call the $10 raise, I just flat call as do the two folks benind me. Turn brings a J (suits never made a flush on the hand) and there's another $10 bet and two folds , call and I call, river is junk and there's another decent bet which we all call, me included. I was under the impression, someone in that group had to to have AAXX with the action at the table. Come to find out, one guy had Q,J for Q's full J's and the guy doing all the betting had pocket J's for J's full. I won the pot with Q's full of A's. I guess if I had gone over the top early on the pot would never have grown with all those involved. It was a nice takedown, just crazy action, from a table that doesn't usually get so many big bet callers.
Anyone else get in that mode after they've been drawn out on hand after hand that they almost feel paralyzed when they've got a good hand?
I did use some decent judgement to lay some hands down, got 77xx to a board of 7h,8x, 10h and didn't call a rather large reraised bet, There was a flush draw a made straight and two overcards. I folded my set, the other two guys went all in, one had pocket 10's (crushing my set) and the other had the flush/straight. I think the board paired to give the guy 10's full...I would have lost a bit there. Omaha is a fickle game...
