Heh, but overpair is what, 5:1? I'm just trying to get a chance to double down without actually putting more money up. I would gladly take the "run it twice but KK pays AA double if AA wins both". All day long
Oh yeah, and if the sucker does manage to hit one of his two outs (the most likely scenario where he wins one), he only has one out to win the pot outright, otherwise I split. I didn't do the math but I'm confident this is a SOLID prop bet.
We haven't done it at my game although we usually are playing limit so you rarely have an opportunity for it to come up. I wouldn't be opposed to it though. I think it's kind of cool and actually interesting on HSP to see how differently the players deal with offers of running it twice.
there is no difficult math behind running it twice...it does not change your EV just your variance. If your AA is a 4-1 fav over KK then you will still win 80% of the pot in the long run. It doesn't matter if you run it twice or twelve times.
