So, I am gettng ready to host a home game tonight and I got to thinking about my game and the influence of Chiptalk on the game.

Chips - Pharaoh's bought after researching here (replaced dice..shudder)
Poker Genie - compliments of donut's efforts
Copags bought from HPC after reading about them here
Bounty chip purchased from HPC after reading about it here.
Blind structure revised after much reading here
non denom Pharaoh's used as show'em chips...need real thing soon

Much better handle of the rules after hours wasted here

Tonight's game marks the 4 year anniversary of our Texas Hold'em tournaments, and thanks to Chiptalk, the game is better than ever

Well , tournament is over and my arch nemesis did it to me again. Took down my pocket aces playing pineapple when I went all in post -flop and he called and hit his flush draw.

In the NLHE tourney, with another player all-in, he bluffed all-in after the turn for a ton of chips, I call with pocket tens with no overs on the board. He flips over K,7 for an inside straight draw and proceeds to hit his king to cripple me.

Short stacked I go all in with A,9 suited, two callers. After the flop he again bluffs out the second caller who folds, and flips over A,6. I am looking good to triple up but of course the turn and the river are both 6's and I am out.

I have lost track of how many times I have been rivered by him, it makes me crazy. Bad beats I can take, but not by the same person over and over again.

As always the poker gear was a big hit. Even though we have played several games with the Pharaoh's, the players always comment on how great they are (fine work tenpercenter!!!). Everyone thought that the Poker Genie was great too, thanks again donut for the great group buy.

I feel excited like a little kid.....tenpercenter responded to one of MY threads...giggle....

Nice set up and sorry about the beats. Since upgrading my gear (and another upgrade to follow), sometimes the gear gets more attention than the game. For example, since getting ChipCos for my dad two years ago, alot of the newer players are focusing on shuffling their chips and other chip tricks and not on the game. we have to break their concentration to remind them to post a blind or that the action is to them... *sigh* what have I started?

Again, kid, nice set-up.
