bizarre 7 stud hand...

last night, first hand of the ring game. dealer calls 7 stud.

2 guys wind up all in. A high flush loses to full house!! 6 people playing!

jeeeezus! crazy hand!

just wanted to share.

A little outside the norm maybe but it doesn't sound that far outside the realm of normal poker. Flushes routinely get topedoed by full houses. Stud does allow for some devilishly concealed boats (we call 'em submarines becuase you can't see 'em comin'). Scenarios like:

Hence why stud is, by far, my favorite game. Far more thinking in that game

Here is my all time worst 7CS beat mostly because of the way it played out.

Other A's and J's were out and the guy NEVER looked at this down cards but just kept calling my bets after I reraised him on 4th street. It wasn't until showdown that he looked at his hole cards to find out he had trips down. Of course, I could never catch another pair to make a bigger boat.
