Are your chips regarded as home decor?

Does any one else have any other uses for their chips when they're not seeing action?

do you have a dedicated poker room where you leave your table set up and chips out?......that is pretty cool looking..

Re: Are your chips regarded as home decor?

No, I set the table and chips up in the lounge and try to leave it up as long as i can- at least a few days before any scheduled game, it gives me a chance to play with the chips. My wife is constantly telling me to pack it away as my sense of decor doen't see eye to eye with hers!

Re: Are your chips regarded as home decor?

I love that, man is that cool! I don't think my chips are considered decor more than they are just something to have to dust around. I usually have 15 or 20 sitting on my night stand. Other than that I pretty much keep them put away. Now when the customs finally get here, that may be a different story. I am thinking the gf may have to find another place to sleep for a few nights!

Re: Are your chips regarded as home decor?

I wish I could leave my poker table set up with my chips ready to go, however, my wife hates that stuff and I have a 3 yearold boy so the chips would be scattered all over the house. My wife doesn't respect my stuff so I have to lock the chips away.

I have a 3 year old boy and he has his plastic bicycle chips that he plays with and only gets to play with daddy's chips when daddy is there. I do however always leave my poker table set up and the kids play on it quite a bit unless my wife is using it as a laundry folding station. Four kids equals lots of laundry.

I tried the bicycle chips for him too, but he wants the orange ones...perhaps when my Bellagios get here he can have some of my dice chips.

Re: Are your chips regarded as home decor?

I keep all of my chips in 1200 chip oak chests that I found on ebay. They have been reviewed on CT so I tried one out. Loved it. Now I have 3 full of chips. I have to sit up the table top a day or two before a home tourney, but wife doesn't complain about it. We play almost every night if it is just her, the kids, and me.

LOL too funny! I detect a slight use of sarcasm in that sentence, but I could be wrong!
