Chips: 70 | | | Cash game or Tournament? Just wondering what the majority of you guys play, cash games or tournament style.
What are the limits on your cash games when you play, and whats the usual buy-in for the tournaments? |

Game: No-Limit Cash, buy-in of $20 - $40 (generally $20)
I really like the Flexibility of the Cash game and the fact that guys can just jump into an ongoing game as soon as they arrive. I also like the ability to stop playing at any time. I like that I have a below average night in a cash game and still make a profit and I can focus on just winning hands and not worry about getting everyones chips.
Game: No-Limit Freezeout Tourney, buy-in of $20 - $40 (generally $20)
I like the pressure and finality of Tournament games and the challenge in attempting to to be the last man standing and the mindset that at some point, I have to get everyones chips to win. I don't like that I can play great poker in a Tourney but have nothing to show for it. |

Chips: 22 | | | Re: Cash game or Tournament? We usually play cash since it’s easy for people to come and go whenever, and it doesn’t break up the game. We also play the occasional tourney, so I’ll hold my vote for both.
Buy in for $100 and play either $1/$5 Spread Limit, or, $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit.
Twice annual “Old Farts” big game, $500 buy in for $5/$25 Spread Limit. |

Just wanted to get an idea if one was more popular than the other with you guys. |

For clarity of the pole:
$100 Cash game once a week
$60-$100 Tourney once or twice a month, bust outs roll into a cash game

Our cash game has been basically unchanged in the last 15 years. Games like guts, baseball, chicago, 5-stud, jacks or better, etc.
