Poll: Home Game Money in Play

Just curious whats the most money you've had in play at your home games. Just interested in ring/cash games not tournies.

In my case it was around $1k in a 1/2 limit game with 16 players. I had just under 800 chips out (all my $1, all my $2 and some $5). Though I've played in home tournies with about $1700 in buyins/prize money.

Had just about $2K last Saturday for my $0.50-$1.00 blinds NL Cash Game.
1 Table, $50-$100 Buy-in allowed.
Had 12 players play throughout the night. but at least 9 the whole time.

ps. Biggest loser -$400, biggest winner (me!) +$320.

pps. Also, we had a dealer dealing the game for tips, she made out with $160 for 5 hrs dealing with only one 5 min break. (she collected $140 in tips during the game and I threw her an extra $20 at the end).

Re: Poll: Home Game Money in Play

10 players, 25/50 cent NLHE - Average buy-in: $40, and typically there are 3-5 players that re-buy for about another $20-40.

Most lost by 1 person: $100
Most won by 1 person: $240

Average amount of cash in the drop box: about $600-700

Re: Poll: Home Game Money in Play

We finally cracked the $500 mark last night playing 25¢/50¢ NLHE ($20 buy in). The play was very loose and the rebuys were many. Overall, we had 10 different players at the table but only 8 at any given time. The biggest loser was down $120 at the end of the night and the big winner had a payout of $210. He ended the night by turning quad queens with two others betting all in against him. The deck was just hitting him in the face for the last hour of the night.

Re: Poll: Home Game Money in Play

oh, MOST? I answered the poll question as an avg. Most was $1200. Was a 20 different person night. I cashed for $250 or so on a single $20 buy-in. Early on I tripled up with quads against a boat and someone's AA (wtf was HE thinking?) and never looked back.

Re: Poll: Home Game Money in Play

I read that wrong. I thought it meant what a normal starting stack or amount of money in play... no the most ever.

a typical 1/2 or 3/5 NL game where I play starts at a $200 min buy-in and after that the max is equal to roughly the largest stack.

I've seen +$1K in front of me on many occasions over the last +10-years. My largest stack ever would be in the +$2k range. Largest ever would be a buddy of mine who essentially had every chip at the table after about 3-hours of play he cashed roughly 5k at the end of the night (err early morning).

Re: Poll: Home Game Money in Play

If your are talking about how much is in the bank, our regular limit 3/6 game is over $1,000 every time. If you are talking about how much max pot is, I was involve in a pot that was well over $5,000 in a NL game before. I had the NUT all the way. I was allin for the main pot. 2nd nut took the side pot.

Re: Poll: Home Game Money in Play

We typicaly have about 8 to 10 people playing 1-2 or 2-4 nlhe form about 10 hrs. Min buy in is 100-200 max is 200-400 first time. Then we allow rebuys higher based on stack avaerages. I have seen people drop 1000+ at this game. I have seen people up 600+ as well. Very aggressive game, but overall good play.

Re: Poll: Home Game Money in Play

I need to amend my entry. The MOST that was ever in a game I was sitting is was about 2K in a NL game.

We are usually around 7-1200. Odd thing is, the biggest pots given up have only been for a couple hundred.
