Man and I was so close to being in the money during my very first CT Tourney too when I got knocked out. Was in 9th place at the time and then gone with pocket kings busted on the river as usual.

They might not care if you do it once but they will know you are doing it because the pit boss verifys the chips out at the blackjack table for credit for instance. If you took the chips after 10 hands they will definately wonder why and possibly track your subsequent movements.
They don't want you playing poker on credit (it is a CASH game after all not a credit game haha) nor do they want you giving or selling your chips to someone they have not given the credit to.
Why would they care where you went with your chips as long as you're still playing in their casino? I was under the impression that you get extended a credit line, can draw against it during your stay, and then pay it off prior to leaving. Maybe the intro of RFID changed things?
