Chips: 9,391 | | | Vegas Poker I'm going to Las Vegas on 1-13 for four nights and I'm looking to get some poker in (of course).
Will be there Fri night through Tues morning. What are my tournament options and where should I play? I have played in the Mirage and at Bellagio (where we will be staying).
L
BTW Where the heck should I post a thread like this? There doesn't seem to be a LV category or a B&M Casino category. |

At this site, click on the "tournaments" link at the top of the page. Also there are reviews on all the poker rooms.
Looks like the main places for tournament action on the weekend is the Luxor, Binions, and maybe I will check out the Sahara. I'm staying at Bally's. |

Don't know how busy the Strip properties will be with all the after-show parties and such, but if you find something going on at the places on the Strip, you might find some good fish there. Just be aware that some of the locals might also be there for some fishing as well . Quote: |

Dr. Evil: You know, I have one simple request, and that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

$40 buy in for T1500, a rebuy for T500 or T1000 (I don't recall exactly), and 20 min blinds.
I think blinds started at 25/25
Those are the approx. #'s, I was there back in Sept so the details are fuzzy. |

I printed out a great tournament schedule from a website before my last trip, I haven't been able to locate it again. It was a basic spreadsheet that was set up by time of day, starting in the morning and listing every tourney going on. For low buy in tourneys, Mandalay Bay has a $30 30 person tournay at 10 am every weekday. The MGM has a tournay everyday at either noon or 1 pm for like $60.
I'm going to search for that list again.
Here's one list, but it's missing the MGM tourneys http://www.homepokergames.com/vegas.php
An even better sortable list http://www.allvegaspoker.com/tournam...of_day&ord=asc

He might be more along the lines of a shark than a fish; he seems to know his stuff and has casino hosts at the Harrah's properties. You might see him at the blackjack tables too; he's hard to miss, he likes to play with stacks of black and purple chips Quote: |

He usually just plays on the floor, doesn't normally go into the high limit rooms (says they're like a morgue.) Quote: |
