Just started playing in a new weekly game that seems like the perfect antithesis for everything discussed on these boards. Not only using the infamous dice (hard to do when I had received my first Pharoh's chips earlier that day) , but the guy running the show used the following denoms: 1/3/5/10/20. And the buy-in was T154. WTF?!?!?! But I was the new guy, so didn't say squat.
Anyway, it was still a fun night of poker and I wasn't the one counting out T154 for re-buys, so can't really complain. Guess it shows you can absolutely screw everything up and still have a good home game.
Hmmm .. T154? What did he do, just divide each denom into equal stacks of say 4 each? That's what we do when we are just goofing around, not for money. Sheesh.
No doubt. The coloring up process was a treat in and of itself, too. I suppose I could direct him to homepokertourney.com, but then where would the comic relief come from if I bust out early again?
Maybe you can send him a link to homepokertourney.com or print something out on how to run a tourney and give it to him. I don't think it would offend him, just tell him you found this site and thought it could be helpful.
