I guess most people don't understand the history here so it may be somewhat confusing ... but since it's been brought up ... I will elaborate ...
I don't want to speak for MS Patton here (but, if you've noticed ... he's said nothing)... but here's MY interpretation of what this post is REALLY all about ...
MS Patton has an issue with the design I did for Palm Imports (based on a flame mail he sent some time ago). He is attempting to make his point by posting these knock-offs of my design in an effort to make HIS argument. I am simply pointing out that this "Private Cardroom" design is not a knock-off of his other designs ... and neither is MINE.
This IS, however,a knock-off the "Private Cardroom" design that was done for Palm Imports. Not because it uses the same elements ... but because of the position and scale and similarity of the use of those elements in the overall design nearly duplicates their use in the "PI Private Cardroom" design.
I would certainly welcome the opinion of a patent or copyright attorney if we have one in the forum! My cousin is a patent/copyright attorney but to be honest ...I can't afford him!! LOL Quote:

He's knowingly posted a set of obvious knock-off inlays, and added absolutely NO comment to the OP. Just ... "here ya go"... Why ... ?
He's trying to get me on tilt!! LMAO!
I had actually tried to handle this with him privately and thought that we were done with it ... I guess not!

I was never a fan of the Paulson Web Mold, but must admit I like it here. Good choice!
A Very impressive version of the "Private Cardroom"!

When I first saw the PI chips I didn't even think of the Speakeasys or Samurais. Upon closer inspection the scroll art is very similar to that of the Speakeasys - I'll give him that. But the overall design of the PI inlay doesn't even look close.
These chips on the other hand are obviously 'inspired' by the PI chips.
In any case, it's win-win for the chip buyer as both chips are very nice. |
