Chips: 2,892 | | | TMSC Round #2 - Blue / Yellow Entries TMSC Round #2 - Blue / Yellow Entry Thread
Please submit pairs of Yellow and Blue chip entries here. These should include SPOTS that you actually want to see (not restricted to 3d14), using ANY spot colours and types available (listed here). You should try to use colours as chosen in the Round #1 polls as much as possible, but some artistic license is permitted. Those "qualifying" colour combos from Round #1 are shown below:
Discussion may continue to proceed in the Round #2 Discussion thread.
Also, please keep in mind the current selection of chips in the set: Entries will be accepted until Saturday, March 1 at 10:00am EST. For your entry, please be sure to include the base colour, spot colour(s), and spot type in the TEXT of your post. You may also include an optional mock-up image (from PokerChipFactory) if you wish, but it's not absolutely necessary.
Look for poll threads to open in this forum starting on March 1. All are welcome and encouraged to vote, even if you do not submit an entry. Polls will be open for voting for 48 hours only, so be sure to check it out on March 1-3. |

Chips: 2,892 | | | Re: TMSC Round #2 - Blue / Yellow Entries As with the R/G/B entries, I'll allow a maximum of 2 pairs of entries per person (i.e. 2 Blues and 2 Yellows).
As an example, here are my entries (with additional chips that might require minor adjustments to the rest of the set): Horizon Blue w/ Dark Blue / Sky Blue (3U) Canary Yellow w/ Dark Blue / Mauve (3d14 or 4d14, depending what else is in the set)
(no adjustments necessary; can leave Orange chip as 358 - and smitty007, I'm happy with it being Arc Yellow or W Orange as a base colour...)
or Horizon Blue w/ Dark Blue (358 )
Canary Yellow w/ Dark Blue / Mauve (3U)
(would require changing the Orange chip's spots if we want to avoid repeating spot patterns; I recommend the W Orange w/ Arc Yellow / Royal Red 4d14)
These shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, since I've been mocking them up since the beginning of time... |

Chips: 2,070 | | | Re: TMSC Round #2 - Blue / Yellow Entries 1) Blue: 418 - Dolphin Blue with Charcoal and Dark Blue.
2) Yellow: 618 - Canary Yellow with Plum and W. Day Green.
Note: I'm aware that the 618 pattern is also used on the red chip. But at least for "standard" colors these two chips won't be at the table together: For Vegas colors they're too far apart (5 vs 1000). I don't know what red is used for in Cali but a .25/1/5/20/100 cash set progression shouldn't need a red one.
And here's how they look like.

And here's how they look like. | Just as an FYI, Cali $10s are often red... and occasionally share the spot pattern of the $5s (iirc). I've also seen red Cali quarters (El Dorado is a solid red Paulson HS; Hollywood Park is sort of an Adobe red BJ HS).
Fairly standard Cali progression (including lots of "in-between" chips) is:
{Orange, Red, Pink, or Brown} fractional, Blue $1, Green $2, Pink $3, Yellow $5, Red (or Plum/Brown) $10, Black $20, Purple $25, White $100.
Btw, you said "Horizon Blue" for the base in the text of your post, but mocked up "Dolphin Blue". Which one would you like to enter (or both)? |

Don't forget, I love "U". | Also as an FYI, BCC refuses to make "bumblebee" chips... which I'm certain means "no Black with Yellow spots", but I think that might also include "no Yellow with Black spots"... Otherwise, I'm a big fan of:
but I'm afraid it will get rejected... I'd rather not waste time/energy on chips that might have problems getting past BCC, so please no "Yellow w/ Black"... unless there's a 2nd spot colour in there too. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
