My thoughts on the orange: (a) there's already WAY TOO MUCH ORANGE (/ARC YELLOW) in the set (W Orange spot on the Charcoal, which is the "alternative" to Black; now W Orange AND Arc Yellow spots on the Dark Green; also a W Orange/Arc Yellow based chip). (b) Looks too familiar... can't we do something original that doesn't look like a famous chip?

As far as I'm concerned the Black, blue, & arc yellow chip I mocked up is original! I have not seen another chip with these colors...I just thought it looked good when I put them together!

1. Since Charcoal and Black are alternates, it does not seem like it should matter if they both have an orangeish edge spot color...We were going to allow both of them to be a 614 in the past because people would be choosing one or the other and this kind of seems like the same deal here.

2. Arc Yellow does not look like W. Orange from what I can tell. I have Arc yellow & W. Day Orange (original W. Orange) and they are not alike IMO.

3. The Green w/ Orange & Arc Yellow chip is not a good looking chip IMO...I don't understand that at all. I can understand not liking the one edge spot color 514 (even though I liked it), but orange/arc yellow/white on a dark green chip...It does not even fit in with the set...again IMO.

Having said all of this...here is my suggestion. We have some of the chips finalized, so lets keep them set...otherwise we could end up having all of them change eventually too based on what people are feeling from one day to another.

I think it might be best if we take the top two Green & Black and let Michael & Jdunford make the final decision. They are Michael's chips that he is offering and Jdunford has been doing way too much work on this to not let him have a final say on something...IMO.

This way, Michael will have a set that he thinks will sell the best for him (progression of chips, colors, etc.) and Jdunford will have some final input since he is the one that probably has the most insight as to what he feels people are wanting from this set.

Just some thoughts....Great work!

Splitting the spots still make a hot looking chip IMO
