TMSC Round #2 - Red/Green/Black Poll

TMSC Round #2
Red / Green / Black "Re-vote"

Please vote for only one (1) Red, one (1) Green, and one (1) Black option listed. I've tried to combine similar entries to avoid splitting of votes. I've also put all 3 colours in one poll (rather than a poll for each colour) because I think it's important that you can see the red, green, and black choices side-by-side when choosing them. I also recommend putting your favourites in the PokerChipFactory to make sure they look nice together.

Poll will be close Sunday, February 24 at 8:15PM EST.

"Tweaking" (minor adjustments to spot pattern or colours) might be made later as the set reaches its final stage, but it should look more-or-less as pictured below. Here are the options:
REDS (options 1-8):
  1. Red with White/Grey and Laker Purple (3U or similar)
  2. Red with Arc Yellow (514) and/or Sky Blue (4a18)
  3. Blood Red with Coral and Yellow (6a18/4a14)
  4. Royal Red with Canary Yellow (3s18) and/or White (4a12)
  5. Blood Red with Yellow (3-moon) and/or Off White and Black (4t18)
  6. Royal Red with Arc Yellow and Coral (6a14) or Blood Red and Saturn Yellow (3t18)
  7. Royal Red with Black (1-1/3-moon)
  8. Royal Red with Forest Green and Lavender or Laker Purple (4a18/6a18)

    GREENS (options 9-14):
  9. Dark Green with Chocolate or Adobe or Forest Green (514)
  10. Dark Green with Forest Green and Plum (4a12/4a14/6a14)
  11. Dark Green with Chocolate and Gold (4d14/6a18)
  12. Dark Green with Sherbet Green and Dark Blue or Forest Green (3t18/4t18)
  13. Dark Green with Mustard/Gold and Dark Blue or Saturn Yellow (6a18/4a12)
  14. Dark Green with W Orange and White (4a12) or Day Green and Arc Yellow (4t18)

    BLACKS (options 15-20)
  15. Black with ... lots of colours (3t18/4t18)
  16. Black with White and Greys (6a14/3t18/4s18)
  17. Black with Blue and Gold/Mustard/Arc Yellow (6a14/6a18)
  18. Black with Saturn Yellow and Mauve or Gold (6a14/6a18)
  19. Black with bright popping colours (6a18)
  20. Black with Dolphin Blue and White or Charcoal (6a18)

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Red/Green/Black Poll

OK, there's a frickin' bug in the software, because I specifically checked "disable smileys" for both the OP and its poll and it still turned all my "8 )" into sunglasses.

*EDIT* A big "Thanks" to Matthew (the moderator) for fixing the "" issue!

Oh, and when making your choices, please remember that the following chips have been awarded "penciled in" status (perhaps with minor "tweaks" down the road):

(where the oranges are being voted on right now!)

The horizon blue base with dark blue and sky blue spots is penciled in too. Correct?

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Red/Green/Black Poll

By the way, there will (almost certainly) be a follow-up poll to this one to decide between the favourites, basically to split up the pairs/triplets that I lumped together (and perhaps some variations on their theme).

Well, the vast majority seem to like a "Horizon Blue with dark blue and/or sky blue (or maybe white)" look, but I don't think there's a unanimous decision on the spot type yet. I figure the blue will fall into place once the red, green, and black are decided. And then it's down to... just the yellow? We're getting close!

Lastly, we'll make some "minor tweaks" to the set... for example, consider turning the lavender into a 3t18 or 4t18 by adding black to its spots; then maybe change the red or yellow chips' spots to 4d18; decide whether the pink should be 1/4-pie or 358; ... little things like that.

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Red/Green/Black Poll

wow i hope you plan on taking the top picks and doing a revote. i for one probably voted for two designs that wont be used. if i could have seen the results first i would vote for ***16*** for sure (instead of 20). I guess I got the impression that this set would have a lot of tone on tone, such as black w/ charcoal, dark green w/ light green, etc. i hope the set keeps that kind of a theme.

Definitely will have a "pick from the winners" vote (see post immediately before yours).

I also voted for some (probable) non-winners. As for the tone-on-tone, I've noticed that at least half the set is looking that way, whereas there are still some chips that have more contrast. I'm hoping that this will allow people who want "mono-chromatic" sets to build ones that they like, while people who want more contrast will also be able to put something together; e.g. using charcoal, white, yellow (?), red (?).

I really hope the black with bright colours gets eliminated after a re-vote. I've only seen those colour combos a million times before...

It's too bad the 8V isn't an option for this, as options 17, 18, and 20 would look awesome in that configuration... although 17 might bear too strong a resemblance to the old WSOP 100 / "C T" URL logo (can't recall what that thing's called right now).

Actually, the 4s18 black with white and grey might get thrown out for being too similar to the Ritz $100... but a 6a14 or 3t18 (or 4t18) should be fine.

*EDIT*
Anybody else notice that you can't say C .... T without it becoming CT? Even if you put a space and shrink the space to size "1", it still comes out as CT. Very annoying. I'd hate to be the guy with the initials C.T. trying to make a hot-stamped set of chips 'cause you'd be royally screwed on this site!

Any objections to the 3U blue? Any other suggestions? Even changing the colours of the 3U spots?

Here was an old mock-up, along with some 3U's:

Are we still loving the Dark/Sky Blue 3U? Do you have better ideas? Do I need to put this to a vote?

*EDIT* Oops. Meant to post this in the discussion thread... Oh well; 1 post closer to the magic 4k!

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Red/Green/Black Poll

< 6 hours to go in this poll. Get your votes in while you still can! I'll try to get the follow-up polls going later tonight.
