TMSC Round #2 - RGB Entries

TMSC Round #2 - Red/Green/Black Re-vote
Entry Thread

Technically the thread title should read "RGK" for all the computer techies out there... but I'll use B for Black 'cause I'm stubborn.

Please submit 3-chip entries including a RED (either Blood Red or Royal Red base),a GREEN (either Dark Green or W Day Green; NO Sherbet or Day please), and a BLACK (must be Black; Charcoal will be separate). These should include SPOTS that you actually want to see (not restricted to 3d14), using ANY spot colours and types available (listed here). You are NOT restricted to the colour combinations chosen in Round #1.

Discussion may continue to proceed in the Round #2 Discussion thread. Please keep in mind that the White, Lavender, Sherbet chips, Chocolate, and Pink are pretty much locked in at this point via "unanimous decision" (see mock-up below). Please consider them when choosing your red, green and black entries.

The pink might switch to "358" (or "1/6-pie" vs. "1/4-pie") and other minor tweaks might be made later (spot types, maybe a spot colour or two), but basically WYSIWYG. There is also a lot of support for Charcoal with W Orange + Almond or with Peach + Mauve (+ Plum), which may or may not influence your choices.

*EDIT* Extended:
Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, February 20 at 7:00pm EST.
For your entry, please be sure to include the
base colour, spot colour(s), and spot type in the TEXT of your post.
You may also include an optional mock-up image (from PokerChipFactory) if you wish, but it's not absolutely necessary.

Look for poll threads to open in this forum starting on February 21. All are welcome and encouraged to vote, even if you do not submit an entry. Polls will be open for voting for 3 days.

Re: TMSC Round #2 - RGB Entries

Here's my entry as an example: (*edited 2008-02-20*)

Blood Red with Off White and Laker Purple 3U

Dark Green with Forest Green 514

Black with Mauve, Saturn Yellow 618

Here's how they'd fit into the set:

I think it's ok that Saturn tends to come out a bit greenish... in fact, I'm counting on it so it doesn't match the Canary Yellow base too much.

By the way, I was looking at my Canary Yellow samples and, at least to me, they look a lot closer to the old version than the new version, so I'm mocking up with the old version. Mileage may vary.

Oh, and I might change my entry between now and Wednesday... but whatever is there on Wednesday at 12:00pm EST will be "official".

Re: TMSC Round #2 - RGB Entries

Here's my entries:

dark green with forest and plum
royal red with arc yellow and coral
black with gold, blood red and dark green (but I'd like to use forest if I could):

Sorry, but I'm afraid Radiant Red isn't available for this project (not even as a spot colour). Oh, and neither is Verde, but Forest Green is available, and it should look pretty similar to PokerChipFactory's Verde, so I'll just automatically rename it as necessary.

Oh, and that funky spot pattern you used to illustrate the black chip ("414-818") isn't available for this project either...

This is a very sad day for my options...Can I try again?

Re: TMSC Round #2 - RGB Entries

As i am a fan of classy colors i would like something like this:

But i can imagine that a lot of you guys would think those are quite boring.
I would really like to see that there will be the option to have a set with the standard colors and not too fancy spots and a set with alternative colors, like charcoal instead of black, and fancier edgespots.

Not sure if the red one in the second row will come out very good b/c if the middle red insert doesnt really match the rest, it may look crappy.

Re: TMSC Round #2 - RGB Entries

Is it one entry per person? I have a couple different $100 ideas. How about two entries max? Like in the earlier polls.

OK. Max 2 entries per person. And yes, you can change your entries as many times as you want before the deadline, but please edit your old post rather than posting several different ones. Thanks.
