Thanks for the support; it's very much appreciated... but what do you mean by "sorry for the distraction, by all means. . .CARRY ON!"?

Join us!! Get in on the creative side of it! At the very least, share your comments/criticisms/suggestions, etc. There shall be no "innocent bystanders" here!!

I've got to admit, it's starting to grow on me... but please keep in mind that 8V spots aren't available for this project. Perhaps something like this:

Hmmm... very similar to the charcoal chip I was proposing.

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread

614 or 6A14 give the same profile from the stack side.

I'm still curious why 8V isn't on the table if we make the normal minimum order for a complete custom job (20K IIRC)? Did BCC turn it down or does MSP not want it?

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread

All Round #1 polls are now closed. I've updated the "TMSC basic information" thread and the OP of this thread to include all qualifying colour combinations.

You'll notice that I've included far more "qualifiers" than I probably should have (many 3rd and 4th place finishers). There are LOTS of combinations here. I recommend that you try to use the 1st or 2nd most popular colour combinations for each base as much as possible, at least for the 8 "standard" colours. Of course, there will be combinations that don't quite work for you, and you might run into issues of repeated spot colours, or lack thereof... so you may substitute anything that "qualified", as necessary. But given the results of Round #1 voting, you might find that if you consistently choose to use the 3rd or 4th qualified from each category, your entry might not be all that popular.

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread

Quick question. Why do these mockups with unavailable (or even Paul-Son) inserts keep popping up?

I'm aware these inserts are not available. I'm showing the color combinations from RND 2 and how they might fit together in another spot progression. Although these aren't available similar inserts are and that of course would be a matter to be decided later. Right now I'm concerned with the chip colors that have been selected and may be generating other ideas.

I have to agree with stardust on this one. While it's fun to see the odd "completely crazy" fantasy mock-up with Paulson spot patterns and such, the only spot patterns that are available are listed in the "basic information" thread's OP. The only one that cannot be found in Poker Chip Factory under "BCC" is the "tri-colour quarter-pie", which looks similar to the "Paulson #3" spot pattern (filed under "GPI"; the actual HPC/BCC spot pattern is deeper and will reach a 7/8" inlay, unlike the GPI version).

Other than that, I find the unavailable spot combinations are just a distraction and don't help us converge towards entries for Round #2.

For example, I think this charcoal chip is amazing:

I'd love to see a 3(a)-moon with these colours, or even a 3a12. Unfortunately, it just isn't going to happen in this project. Period.

Let's try to keep on track and stick with mock-ups where all the spot combinations are available and the colour combinations come from those listed in the OP.
