Throw a different edge spot design on the Blue & Yellow chips, and I'm down...

Only chip I'm not a big fan of is the Red chip...I really think it needs a sky/dolphin blue or white edge spot instead of the black...

This is very promising!!!

As a side note...Charcoal in person (especially after oiled) is darker than the image comes out on the mock-ups...It's not black, but it is definitely not mistaken for grey IMHO...(I've got both next to me right now)

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread

The only mockups I'd put money down for right now are jdunford's charcoal/orange/almond chip and the 1/4 pie chocolate/gold ones.

I'm gonna have to get busy on the W orange one since no one is doing that one justice...

I agree, but I'm not talented enough to come up with a better alternative. I think that the red and the black chips currently just don't feel right alongside the other designs. This maybe a case where when we originally voted on edge spots, we did so in isolation of other factors, and that has left us with preferences that don't coordinate well.

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread

I could easily use an Orange for 5K, I just haven't seen one yet that's grabbed me. Orange 514 Blood Red?

I loves me my ASM Orange chip.

Here is my submission for the project. I just tried to get different colors and different edgespots.

Let me know what you think,

Yeah, that's more what I'm thinking...I really think that with the deep color of the blood red chip, it requires it to have light edge spot colors to fit in this set...I think white and one of those blue's or all three makes the chip fit better.

I also would not mind seeing a Royal Red base chip even though I know it did not win...

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread

Since the red seems to be a sticking point with quite a few - why not re-open the red and let's see some examples (especially now that we have some chips in the bank). I was probably a Blood Red voter, but would be open to some Royal Red ideas....

Here's Royal Red & Blood Red I threw together real quick...Basically the same edge spot colors with the different red base.

Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread

Now I remember why I voted Blood Red. The Royal Red just looks too orange to me - is it really that orangeish in person. I think I have one somewhere - a BCC solid with Abe Lincoln on it.....
