Chips: 1,700 | | | Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread I liked Phil's Pink color scheme but I'm only so so on the 1X1 spot. That said it does make an interesting contrast to the 1/4 Pie. In short, yea on colors, maybe on spot pattern. |

Chips: 11 | | | Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread After looking at everyone's, I made a few changes to mine. Also, I included what vote finish each color combo. In addition, I included the four colors/patterns (pink, white, chocolate, and sherbert green) that everyone seemed to agree upon.
Personally, the Black, Orange, Blue, and Charcoal I mocked up are my favorite chips. |

Chips: 340 | | | Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread While I'm not a huge fan of the arc yellow on orange, I like BigBrando's mockup. Here's a few more that seem to work:
That Pink 1-1 was my favourite but I agree it doesn't really have the utility of the quarter-pie: it's ok as a fractional or even a snapper but it doesn't really work as a high-denom.
I also like that mix of greens chip from BigBrando. Perhaps those sorts of colours are the way to go for the dark green after all! The black quarter pie just isn't doing it for me personally - sorry! But the yellow, red and blue all have a lot of potential.
Regards,
David. |

Chips: 271 | | | Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread I'm in for the White chip...I love the look of that chip!
As for Charcoal...my vote is for Charcoal w/ Almond & W. Orange on either the 618 or 614.
Very happy that the Lavender chip is going to be included in the set...people will not be disappointed!
I'll say it again...we need an ARC YELLOW BASE COLOR chip! I have 100 T-molds in this color that I am looking at right now and posted in the pics a few pages back...It has a great look to it, and I promise that those who want orange will not be disappointed! |

How about we ignore the 12th chip (orange, almond, ... whatever) at this time, and focus on the other 11 -- where we basically have "4 down, 7 to go", right? Then, once those 11 are pretty much set (which might take some voting in polls at various stages), only then will we try to resolve the 12th chip. That way, we're not distracted by it while we're working on the "meat" of the set.
And at that point (for deciding the 12th chip), we might even look beyond the Round #1 results. Basically, anything goes (including arc yellow as a base, or different spot colours on w orange, if you want) for the 12th chip... but I'm going to ignore them in mock-ups until we have the other 11 finalized.
Sound goot? |

Personally, the Black, Orange, Blue, and Charcoal I mocked up are my favorite chips. | A couple of comments:
There might be issues with that black chip. First, it might be rejected by BCC as being a "bumble bee". Second, it might not be black enough for some people's purposes. Consider it being a $100 beside a yellow $20 (traditional cash set), or a $20 beside a yellow $5 (Cali cash set).
Your red reminds me of the Samurai $5 a bit too much.
I like the purple chip, but the "Lavender (Hill) Mob" will reject it...
I'm stuck between a few blue chips. Here they are:
Who actually plans to use a blue chip? beekeeper said she wants it for her cash set. Anybody else? Comments?
At present, I'm leaning toward the 358 (aka "sixth of a pie") because I think it looks hot beside the pink quarter-pie. Put a hot canary yellow chip (maybe 3U with black/yellow spots) next to it with any nice black (for $20) and you've got yourself a KILLER Cali-coloured cash set!

Chips: 1,700 | | | Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread Of course it depends on what eventually gets picked, but my 5th chip is still up in the air, Blue is not outside the realm of possiblity but obviously not too high on my particular priority list.
As far as the standards that are left I'm definitely for one of Charcoal w/ Almond/Orange (2nd Place vote Charcoal) or Black w/ Hot Pink/Blood Red (1st Place vote Black) |

Chips: 244 | | | Re: TMSC Round #2 - Discussion thread I'm liking the White chip that we seem to be leaning towards. It makes for a killer $1 chip and would also work in a tourney set as a 25K chip. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
