Wonder what they do to get from the next to last picture to the last picture. Is the chip heated up so that the inserts are fused with the base? Would love an explanation of that step.
I believe 10,000 lbs of pressure would basically make all those edge spots
and the inlay become one with the chip base. It's where the term
"compression molding" came about when talking about clay chips.
