Wow - looking back through the archives at this thread made me realize that the dice and cards mold is not just a cliche mold. It has a lot of history and I think it looks really great. I am pretty sure I am going to want to call ASM and have them change me over from roman to d&c even. What a classic mold!

Yep, one of my favorite molds if you look at my avatar it's a $5 chip from the El Moraco. I brought it back with me from Vegas in 1974.

I won enough to not cash in the chip. No seriously, I was'nt drunk and forgot it was in my pocket

or I was passed out. Great mold.

SandmanDC, nice chip! Valued at around $50 to a collector. Priceless as a reminisacense!

I just picked up a few of the Nevada Mold and they seem pretty old. AND, they're not white, but white flecked with green! Has anyone ever seen that combination before? Very strange.

Yes, and you should see what the entire Borland collection looks like framed...Someday, maybe I'll figure out how to scan properly and post a pic....I'm missing only one, possibly two chips from the original 81 chips, the ***** Cat $1 and maybe one other that even Robert Eisenstadt does not have.

Edit...this is way too funny, even chiptalk has a censor as my Pus.sy Cat above was automatically censored...ROFLMFAO

You say 81 original Borland chips, the linked article lists 82, plus about 20 variations. David (at that site) might also be a resource for what you are missing, maybe. Sure wish I had more Borlands. I am at 3 or 4.

Hi Jim, It's been awhile since I've actually looked at either David's and Robert Eisenstadts updates...maybe it is 82....Many of my Borlands came from Robert and a number of others from one of the regular chipboard members via ebay or in trade with others.
What I don't understand are all these new variations and where they came from all of a sudden. Especially the size of the inlay differences, because all my Borlands have only one size inlay which is larger than both that I see noted on whichever site has those sizes listed.

For what it's worth here, I have about 50 duplicate Nevada die Borlands now listed on ebay and at the same prices as I bought them from Robert or slightly lower if anyone is interested. I can and will sell these individually or make up any arrangement of chips needed. But ebay frowns on me saying things like that and the guys at thechipboard chastised me recently for offering my Borlands in one auction as a choice from the 50 or so....either way, they are not selling to fast right now.
