Anyone know what happened to the TR King molds when the company folded? Last word on this site seems to be that Dennis was firmly refusing to part with them. This was at the time of the closure. Is there any new information?
I believe Dennis (the owner) kept everything. I remember there was speculation that he might reconsider quitting the operation. It happened right after the big GB that everyone regrets not participating in. I could be wrong about all this, though; that happened right after I joined CT.

BCC bought some if not all of the edgespot punches and standard denomination hotstamp dies from Dennis.
At the time, I thought I read that Dennis refused to sell the Sm Crown mold to anyone.
If anything, I am glad that he did not. If the mold was being used by someone else, the new TRK's probably would not have felt the same due to the slight differences in clay formulas....just my guess.
It's already a little strange because the 3 moon and other recognizable TRK spots are at BCC.
The sm crown mold was a classic. The formula for those buttery soft chips was the second half of that great chip. I don't think anyone will get close to that again.
AFAIK, only machinery (including stamping) and insert cutting equipment was sold to BCC by Dennis. I have been in contact with him a couple of times since closure buying blanks and he seems happy with keeping the mold. Unless he destroys it though, the mold will eventually pass to his heirs when he dies, if it is now part of the personal property he owns.
I am thinking that the heirs might see more value in selling such an asset than in keeping it. Same goes for the chip formula. Of course, he could require their destruction in his will. How old is Dennis (just curiosity - I do not wish him ill)? Did he quit because he wanted to retire or were there other reasons?
