Here are a couple of examples from AC. They usually have the entire rack (up to $100). Borgata (the last opening) did not have any chips made for their practice night.

Re: Fun Nite Rarities - pr0n included

so. i have gathered that they are used for casino training, but what were the fun nites that i have used for? they don't have a specific casino name on them. also... why are 25s and lower denoms so hard to find?

thanks to everyone for their input.

Because people want them for their home games..striaight up or as fractionals. Back when I rented a forum to sell Fun Nites, they were coming from a guy that got them from casinos after their grand openings. All the denominations were available at that time.

I'll add that they were coming from midwest casinos primarily, and the only casino stamped versions I recall are from AC.

Re: Fun Nite Rarities - pr0n included

When I was part of the opening at MGM Detroit. We used mostly fun nites and starbursts for practice purposes. Craps dealer training is 12 weeks. Much of the time is spent learning how to Cut Cheques in other words "how to count down stacks of 20 in 5 or 4 or 3 or 2 chips high. The chips we commonly used were Starbursts. We also used what were called Speed Cheques which were just Roulette style smooth chips. Handling those slick bast**ds for a few hours were definetly a good hand workout. Nothing beats good Paulsons!

Re: Fun Nite Rarities - pr0n included

I neglected to mention, in Atlantic City, after the dress rehersal, the entire casino is shut-down for a period of time to review the results. During that time all the Fun-Nite chips and currency gets pulled and replaced with the real stuff!

I have also been informed that the process is a bit different now, in that the Borgata did not have a Fun-Nite chip supported event.
