Re: Denominations????

I've seen a few .05 and .10 cent chips in addition to those already mentioned.

Re: Denominations????

And then there are a few oddball ones as well...

I think the Chip Rack has a breakdown of the different denominations that are covered. There are a lot of them over the years of gaming in LV. There are other jurisdictions as well, and then even other countries that have odd (to Americans) denominations in local currency

Okay Ross...this is a great post. Truly unique finds there. For some reason I just have issues with the 200¢ and the $2000. Like you said, oddball for "Americans".

Is there a place where I can view the "Chip Rack" online?

Now on a related note...how do I get one of those 2 shillings Playboys? That is a sweet chip!!

Thanks Again,

Captn

Re: Denominations????

Capt.,

Sorry, The Chip Rack is available only as a book. The authors want to keep making sales!

As for the Playboy, it looks to be a Christy and Jones chip, and it looks to be a bit pricey!

You might want to check with Marlow in England... http://www.marlowcasinochips.com/

The Playboy is really a 2shilling 6d (pence) chip. Since there are 12 pence in a shilling, this makes it equivalent to a $2.50 chip

Of course the UK stopped using shillings pre-1971, so that dates the chip pretty well.
