Sorry if this is a stupid question but I just wanted to know if anyone knew what these "tokens" that Ive seen used from time to time are. I think I saw them in a James Bond movie a long time ago but recently I saw them in a poker tourney on tv. But I dont really know how to describe them except at chips but they are in a card form or a slate form I guess... Sorry I dont really know how to describe them better than that. But I was just wondering if anyone knew what these card shaped tokens were called or where to get them, thanks!!

They're normally called plaques or jetons. They're often used in Europe in the place of the higher denomination chips.

For the most part they're hard to find for the home market. Dal Negro has some but they're normally on the smaller side.

They are called plaques. They usually represent high value chips. Europeans use them in the high stake games as in the James Bond movies. The Egyptian chipset use to have an octagon $1000 chip and a $5000 plague but Chipco discontinue making them.
