| I'm not in the market, but i've been following your progress, and enjoying the developments--These are coming out great. But i had a thought a while back that might work better with the original colors of the art. I didin't want to be distruptive suggesting it, but now since you all are kicking around ideas of switching the girls around a bit, i'll interject, fwiw
Yellow rose of texas is your red chip (look at the car) with yellow accent
Now you need a pink. Lady in Red, pink with blood red accent.
Mint Julip is actually a natural for a Yellow chip with Pink accent
Now you need a purple, which might be a little tougher, cause there are a number of good choices... Someone voiced the desire to be sure you had a Vegas girl in the set, so Gypsy might be your purple with white accent. Or double your pleasure would be a nice purple with of course a gold/yellow accent. the other two vegas girls would work as well, and an offer you can't refuse would be nice, although probalby difficult to crop without adding background that doesnt exist in the original art.
I love the old wooden rumrunners, so i think you'd be missing the boat if you didn't add a brown chip with black accents 'Midnite lace"
Now I have you up to 10 chips. Oops. I guess moderation was never my strong suit...
The others are just about perfect. I especially like the red white and blue chip, which aside from it's patriotic charm, easily doubles as a white chip for cash games or a high value chip for tournament sets.
I might suggest making the brandy background just a touch more orange and less brown to make it stand out a bit more, and make coffee tea or me a bit less green (maybe a little more aqua) to make it blend in a bit more.
Anyway, whatever you decide will be a winner... |
