The black is certainly an improvement over the heavily debated 'red on red'. And, moving the old black chip to red keeps the same dark/sexy feel alive but provides the contrast many are looking for.
Now, the way you phrased your comments about Yellow Rose is interesting to me. Why aren't you happy about it? Is it the color scheme? Are you partial to her on Pink? I admit that she looks good on the pink, but here's the logic that spawned he onto blue:
Keeping with the American Beauty theme, red white and blue are mandatory in my mind.
The best chip to become White was the Air-plane girl. (And I think that it turned out quite well)
With blue now vacant the best choice was Yellow Rose (and the more I look at the rendition on the left the more I love it!) She looks great with the light blue background. The pastel color blends well with the wholesome uplifting vibe of the photo. It's not as vibrant as the pink (again, I like the pink) but it seems to me the set needs a good blue chip more than a good pink chip.
Another Blue is on its way (it may even be posted by the time this is)
but I’d rank that 3rd on my list of blues.
1 being Yellow Rose on the left
2 being the girl on the Airplane (I cannot remember her name) but that's a moot point since she's the only suitable white
3 being Mint Julep
Coffee Tea or Me looks much better with the Tan/Brown background. However, as nice as the image is; we probably do not need a brown chip, and this may be one of the first to be cut.
On the topic of cutting the fat (something none of these ladies seem to have) Brandy
I found the orange version to be awkward. At first I thought it was a second red chip. Do we need an Orange?
Red and Yellow versions of her will be coming soon (again, maybe already up depending on which post goes live on the forum first)
I like both of these better, but now there will be some debate as to which red chip to use. I would not be saddened if she had to be left out however. She looks great on yellow, but I have my doubts if it will make the cut.
On the subject of having too many chips: We don’t have to use them all. These should be taken as suggestions open for comment. During the early stages of design it’s good to get as many ideas as we can out there so that we can be sure the cream rises. As I have said, there will undoubtedly be some fat to trim. At least we’re getting the ideas out and flowing.
