Voted for #1, its a little more muted than the others so it doesn't take away from the main image but still emphasizes it. My second choice is #2. #3 wouldn't be bad if the background were softer.

I admit that I did not vote. I think I would like to see the pattern of #4, with the more muted colors in use in #2, or no background. At least to look at before voting...?

It is more muted, I guess that's why it's not bad. But it also doesn't feel like you're looking at a dart board (I think it has a couple extra "rays" so they don't line up with the edge spots).

Someone convince me why #1 is better than #2.
