Chips: 4,248 | | | Personally, with all of the in-house bickering I have lost interest in this group purchase. It started out so well with a lot of positive energy but after reading the last several posts it has really taken a downward spiral, definitely one of the more negative group buys I have ever been involved in.
But considering things seem resolved I will try to help those of you who are still interested, and I had a thought about the location; in order to ensure that the people who are actually going to be buying these chips are the only voters (or at least try) maybe PM someone like bubbafry or Murf with your preference? I know I am not the only one who is guilty of seeing a POLL thread and voting on it, regardless of my interest level. And for something like this, it could be skewing the votes dramatically.

Chips: 40 | | | I know my vote is a bit late since I just registered today buuuut I have now read through all the Matsui posts and am very excited about the outcome of this gb.
I like the Black Sands Resort & Casino name... Voted for Kitts so thats worked out... Dont mind the palm trees but thought the turtle was a very unique graphic and there are definitly better looking tribal type turtles out there ( i know, I have one tatooed on my leg ) while the palm trees are sorta like the palms.... not very original but they work..
The one selling factor for me is the large inlays though. In all the mockups that is a make it or break it type deal, for me anyway. The black inlay with the colored accents (trees/turtle) look great. If its the standard inlay size I feel it gets compared to say an ASM chip without edgespots other than the M mold.... Anyway.. just spitting out my thoughts. And you see the nice color of these chips while stacked and then from the top the nice label with the distinct edge of color... magnificent!
If we get the large inlays I could do atleast 600-700 and the wife "loves" the turtle so if that somehow makes its way back Im in for 1000.
Ok.. back to my popcorn and am waiting to see how this goes from here. |

The way this group buy is going i think i am inn for 500 - 1000
all depends on Ace is shipping to my country or not hehe
I like the Black Sands Resort & Casino name ,the location is not that important , i think the palms is the best out of the choices we had
BUT we are still to see the samples and what inlays Matsui is coming up with and if they are doing custom mold |

I have to agree with "BeefnCheese", I really like the turtle design, although the tree's are not a deal breaker, they are kinda boring. The name is fine, and the mold design is fine, I do like the larger inlay on this chip.

Chips: 53 | | | Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but from what I understand, Matsui does not do grand inlays at all. Even with a custom mold, it is my understanding they do not do them. I agree it would look nice, but if it doesn't happen, the chips will still turn out beautiful. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
