i got a whole bunch of samples and mandarin red seems to go better with the other colors (imp blue, arc yellow, black, etc)

My only vote for the lighter color. I've heard such good things about the man. red. Now I just hope white spots makes the cut.

I could deal with white, though I guess I'd rather have black or imperial blue before getting my top choice (yellow).

I won't vote on this one because I don't have a horse in this race (in other words, I don't need this color for my set) but I like Mandarin Red the best

Yeah, the mandarin red is where it's at. In my sample set I only have the normal red and I think it is a tad bright for a base colour. Although I have seen pictures of red with day glo yellow edge spots and that is a killer looking chip. So either way I am sure it will turn out great.
