Matsui (no spots) - yellow or orange?

Currently, the plan is to have pink, green and grey, then choose 1 color from blue/purple and 1 from orange/yellow. If anyone has a problem with that, feel free to speak up.

Would you rather have yellow or orange? You can see the various shades in this Matsui color chart posted by ott in this thread, but keep in mind the actual chips might look a little different:

(look about halfway down the page)

yellow:

orange:

General info (for people new to the buy):
This group buy is for non-edgespot Matsui clay chips. They will be non-denom, probably 5 colors (either “pastel” or “bright”) with a black inlay and simple design. A custom mold is also being considered ($2500 for a custom mold). We do not know what the price will be yet, but early rumors are that they will be around $0.50 per chip. Minimum order is 5000 per denom, 50000 total order. We do not have a timeframe yet for these chips, but we will try to keep everyone updated as soon as we know anything.

For more information about Matsui clay chips, see TenPercenter’s review here:
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=812

ACEPokerchips will be handling the actual order with Matsui. He will be adding custom plaques to the set, and is also considering adding a denominated version of these chips.

Yeah, you might be right about orange fitting better with the bright colors (even though I voted for yellow). If the colors end up looking like those Palms chips, orange might be better, but it's tough to say without actual chip color samples.

This seems to be the closer of the two polls, I'd like to see many more votes so this turns out to be the best decision for the group.

I voted yellow. It just seems to stand out more with the pink. Like bubba said, it's tough without samples. I think either way with this one will be okay.

I voted yellow, I think the yellow looks really cool on the NBC tourney and I think it would look great with this set but Im not bothered by orange either.

My votes in for yellow. I think it will mix better than the oranges with the 3 main colors we are going with.

I think the orange, at least on the screen, seems to be too dark for the theme. If the vote goes for orange, then it should be mandarin orange.

TT

I would imagine the Dayglo Orange would be much brighter than the color on the screen, but maybe not. There are some chip companies whose dayglo colors aren't dayglo at all.
